Alice Webb opened EarthDesign in 2005, following a 21-year career in North Carolina, which included many years as staff landscape architect for the parks and recreation department of a rapidly-growing municipality. While employed there she designed and managed a diversity of projects, ranging from neighborhood parks and nature trail systems to large athletic field complexes. She was previously employed by a landscape architecture firm and a municipal planning department. Several of her projects won accolades from the North Carolina chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Alice is a registered landscape architect in Massachusetts, and was formerly registered in North Carolina before relocating to the northeast. She received her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Michigan State University in 1983.

Alice is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Boston Society of Landscape Architects, and Massachusetts Recreation and Park Association.
